The importance of living a healthy lifestyle in order to maintain good general health and prevent chronic diseases is well established. I would say that a certain amount of independent thinking is needed to separate reality from the many modern health advice currently offered.
The most important thing you can do is eat well. Avoid poisoning your food as much as possible and eat lots of fresh fruit, vegetables and grains; get moderate exercise several times a week; avoid smoking, including tobacco; and avoid obesity (which should be natural when eating properly and exercising). Of course, not all aspects of a healthy lifestyle are controlled by us. We will be exposed to certain natural toxins whether we like it or not. But many of these factors are entirely in our hands. Whenever we can, we must take responsibility and make the right decisions.
That is why it is so important to make sure you eat well as a key to achieving a healthy LIVING.
